Role Responsibility

The Studio Traffic Manager’s main objective is to ensure that all briefs flow efficiently through the studio; be responsible for keeping briefs on track to ensure all deadlines are met and the studio is suitably resourced.

You will also be supporting the Head of Design and Head of Production with day to day capacity of the wider team, a crucial role to ensure successful project delivery.

You will be the first point of contact for all internal stakeholders within the Business.

 

As Studio Traffic Manager you will:​

  • Review and create new systems/processes that are accessible to all studio team members, which at all times, are up to date and an accurate record/schedule of all projects within the studio, ensuring the most effective ways of working.
  • Assessing incoming briefs to ensure they are completed correctly, creating detailed timing plans (where needed) and managing resource.
  • Working with the Head of Design and Head of Production, you will ensure successful delivery of projects through day to day co-ordination of the studio team members by effectively identifying and managing resource.
  • Confidently manage expectations of all stakeholders and commutating project updates.
  • Have weekly briefing meetings with all departments to discuss their requirements and deadlines.
  • Work with the wider Business to help them understand the correct briefing process.
  • Monitor projects and workloads, adjusting accordingly.
  • Maintain job files – opening job numbers, creating files on the server and ensuring all projects are filled correctly.
  • Manage freelance requirements and bookings

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Apple Mac/computer literate. You will have experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel, Trello and Float.
  • Knowledgeable of the print/production process. You will have experience in a design studio, having worked with graphic designers, and have a strong understanding of the design and  print/production process.
  • Experienced. A minimum of 2 years working within traffic management
  • Highly organised. You will facilitate focus, accuracy and quality in the relentlessly fast paced environment of a studio environment
  • A strong communicator. Managing multiple stakeholders across the business - show strong integrity, energy and enthusiasm while also being able to motivate, inspire and lead resources in a collaborative way.  
  • Focused and self-motivated . You will have the ability to work effectively to help deliver projects to deadline
  • Comfortable managing a heavy work load, multi-tasking, juggling numerous projects at any one time.
  • Calm within a busy environment. You will be able to prioritise and adapt, multi-task effectively and switch planning due to the reactive nature of the business.
