Campaign Project Manager
Job Introduction
The Campaign Project Manager reports into the Creative Projects Lead in the Brand Strategy and Operations team. They provide effective project management with a focus on organising external delivery teams to facilitate creative briefs for Selfridges Led campaigns and initiatives. The role manages the campaign production process, ensuring smooth execution, on-time delivery, and high-quality outputs. Your strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate cross-functional external teams will play a crucial role in bringing our campaigns to life and ensure they are planned, managed and delivered on brand, and effectively to brief, timeline and budget.
The role will be critical in originating and/or maintaining detailed documentation – including critical paths & milestones, budgets, status reports and project packs. The job holder will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and ensure relevant documentation is accurate, useful and up to date. They will be able to provide transparency and clear accountability at all times.
As Campaign Project Manager you will:
- Develop detailed production schedules, outlining tasks, milestones, and deadlines for each campaign.
- Understand campaign briefs and work closely with stakeholders to ensure they are robust, extensive and on brand.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on campaign progress, milestones, and outcomes. Ensure assets are reviewed and signed off in line with the campaign schedule.
- Monitor expenses and track costs to ensure campaigns are delivered within budgetary constraints
- Source, negotiate with and manage external vendors and collaborators, such as producers and photographers, to meet campaign needs.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and deliverables to ensure quality and timely production.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams to ensure everyone is informed and aligned with objectives and to facilitate a seamless production process
- Troubleshoot issues, address challenges, and manage changes to keep campaigns on track.
- Monitor production timelines closely, anticipating potential delays and proactively implementing solutions to maintain project schedules.
- Maintain contacts and nurture relationships with external collaborators to ensure Selfridges has an effective and powerful network
- Maintain detailed documentation – including critical paths & milestones, budgets, status reports and project packs - for each stage of the campaign you are managing, ensuring it is accurate, useful and up to date
- Understanding the Creative Concept brief for campaigns, developing a deep understanding of the Selfridges brand and acting as a brand guardian throughout a project lifecycle
Budget and Finance:
- Own the campaign budget management, ensuring that functions are communicating their latest spend and updating trackers and line manager accordingly.
- Communicate correct codes to Project Team leads at the outset of project delivery
- Maintain a clear visibility & transparency on budget expenditure on projects at all times, communicated directly and competently with finance and accounts as appropriate.
How you’ll do it - you will:
- Be confident in managing external relationships, and have/ build a network of contacts in campaign production
- Have experience in campaign production, understanding the skills and collaborators required to deliver complex asset briefs with external production teams
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and be confident in presenting to give clarity to multi-layered projects
- Be positive, friendly and solution focussed, and able to be supportive yet confident in challenging scenarios that threaten campaign delivery
- Communicate matters of logistics and scheduling to all stakeholders clearly, ensuring all areas of remit/responsibility are understood and agreed.
- Be resilient and able to cope with pressure, be flexible, think quickly to solve problems and safeguard the wider team’s ability to deliver
Experience:
- Proven experience in assisting in the delivery of multi-channel projects or comparable, including experience tracking expenditure and producing schedules
- Digital experience in post postproduction and manging post production schedules
- Working in a creative or brand-based environment, but with project management focus
- Experience of working in the fashion, retail, media or art world preferred
- Be confident in managing external relationships, and have/ build a network of contacts in campaign production
Technical Skills:
- Advanced level of competence in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Understands when to use different programs
- Confident using PCs & Mac
