Cellar Society is seeking an inspiring and highly skilled Bar Manager to lead a bar defined by craft, atmosphere and thoughtful hospitality.

This is a visible leadership role suited to a bar professional who combines creativity with operational excellence — someone who understands how a well-led bar shapes the energy of an entire club.

You will curate a drinks offering that feels considered and contemporary, build a confident and engaged team, and create a bar environment that invites members to return time and again.

Working closely with senior leadership team, you will ensure every detail - from the quality of the cocktails to the warmth of the welcome — reflects the style, discretion and standards of Selfridges.

We are looking for someone who:

• Brings proven experience leading premium bar environments
• Demonstrates creativity and confidence in drinks curation
• Leads with presence, motivating and inspiring their team
• Builds natural rapport with guests while maintaining professionalism and discretion
• Balances energy with composure, particularly during peak service
• Possesses strong commercial awareness alongside a passion for craft
• Takes pride in developing others and strengthening team capability

In this role, you will:

• Shape and evolve a drinks programme that complements the identity of the club
• Lead the bar team with clarity, positivity and professionalism
• Foster a culture of precision, consistency and attention to detail
• Maintain a strong presence behind the bar, setting the tone for service
• Create an atmosphere that feels vibrant yet controlled
• Support training and development, encouraging curiosity and product knowledge
• Ensure the bar operates seamlessly, from preparation through to close
