Role Responsibility

As VM Assistant you will assist the Fashion assistant VM Manager with the day to day running of the fashion floors. You will support in achieving world class creative with the wider VM team that will inspire and entice customers. Assisting the manager you will maintain the day to day running of the fashion floors and be involved with installations and the running of the different areas ​

As VM Assistant you will:​

  • Regularly competitive shop new and inspirational places to maintain an understanding and awareness of competition & fashion direction and key brands.​

  • Work with Visual Merchandisers to identify areas to be developed, propose ideas and costs to do so​

  • Be responsible for overseeing VM presentation of department/area in its entirety (supported by line manager). ​

  • Be proactively involved in implementing themed displays within departments​

  • “Think customer” – Working closely & building strong relationships with Ops and Buyers through regular floor walks, & identify commercial opportunities and department performance. ​

  • Work closely with key contacts in B&M & Retail Ops to agree brand adjacencies & product layout. ​

  • Ensure departments are floorwalker each morning to check and maintain basic recovery standards and actions carried out prior to store opening​

  • Demonstrate good standards in VM studio, storage areas, fixtures and tool kits

The Ideal Candidate

  • Calm within busy environment. You are able to prioritise, having good time management and are adaptive, with the ability to multi-task effectively​

  • Accurate and have a strong ‘eye for detail ensuring delivery of exceptional work​

  • A great communicator, both verbal and written. You excel in the relationships you build with your team and stakeholders​

  • Aware of fashion trends and brand knowledge. You will be up to date with trends and constantly looking for opportunities for this to inspire your work​

  • Positive with a pro-active ‘can do’ attitude. Taking initiative when needed and also able to take direction well from the wider team​
