Role Responsibility

We are excited to share that our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team is growing and we are looking for a Talent Development Manager to help us develop our talent management processes and aid in our mission to continue to build and grow our inclusive and diverse workforce.

As the Talent Development Manager, you will:
•Develop and implement an Inclusive Talent Management framework and tools incorporating all aspects of the talent management lifecycle including performance and development, appraisals and succession planning.
•You will have responsibility for developing Talent Management capability across the business to drive transparency, fairness and effectiveness in how we know, grow and move talent around the Selfridges.
•Provide an expert view to our current approach and ensure Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is centered at the heart of our talent management process.
•The Talent Development Manager will report to the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director and collaborate with various HR and functional leaders to develop the skills and competencies of Selfridges employees.

•Design and implement an effective and efficient talent review
•Develop and rollout talent frameworks, processes and systems
•Keep an eye on current trends, conduct market research and talent analytics to identify current and future talent needs
•Lead specific talent and career management programmes
•Partner with managers to ensure a robust and ready pipeline of internal talent for our most critical roles
•Coach employees on talent processes and tools
•Develop and manage robust data to measure impact
•Lead Talent Management technology rollout
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent management with the ability to shape, design and deliver a world class talent management strategy.
•Proven experience of managing and building a strong talent management system
•Extensive knowledge of and previous experience in delivering talent management strategies and tools
•Work at a senior level, with strong communication, engagement, and interpersonal skills
•Think strategically with a practical approach to opportunities or challenges
•Knowledge of emerging trends, literature, and practices in talent and performance management
•Ability to engage others, of all levels, in Talent Management initiatives with strong influencing skills
•Strong problem-solving skills, review information from talent assessments, identify trends and develop solutions to support the development of employees
•Provide strong and inspiring talent management leadership
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail
•Strong project management skills, administrative skills
•Maintain confidentiality and act with discretion
•Team player
•Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy and as part of a team
•Excellent analytical skills and be able to interpret and report data
•Good HR IT system experience
