Social Media Coordinator -Selfridges Food

Role Responsibility
This role will be focused on supporting the Social Media Manager in implementing the Social Media Strategy and owning content creation for the Selfridges TikTok account and the @selfridgesfood Instagram account.
The role will require both creativity and organisation, switching between art direction, video editing, food styling, planning, scheduling, community management and compiling reports for key stakeholders in the business. You will orchestrate in-store content creation, both images and video, and work with an amazing roster of brands to curate and create thumb stopping social-first imagery and video.
As the Social Media Coordinator you will:
- Support the Social Media Manager in implementing the social media identity for @Selfridgesfood Instagram, as well as championing lifestyle and home content across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Tik Tok, and Pinterest for the UK and international markets, with a view to increasing brand awareness, driving engagement and traffic to the website
- Assist in the development, filming and editing our social media storytelling videos across Live, Stories, IGTV, Reels, TikTok and YT formats; capturing social-first content in store
- Be responsible for communications and asset delivery from internal creative departments, Selfridges owned food brands, and external brands
- Become the gatekeeper for our demanding weekly calendar, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders regarding key opportunities and stories, and adapting to last minute changes and fast-turn arounds
- Schedule our social content using our Social Publishing platform, monitor and compile weekly, monthly and yearly performance reports
- Community manage a highly engaged social audience, with a view to grow acquisition, engagement and foster a sense of community
- Write engaging captions for our content
- Cover key events and brand collaborations
- Develop external relationships and assist with the briefing process for our brand partnership collaborations and co-created content with influencers and creative stakeholders
- Analyse key data to inform strategic decisions and use creative testing to build insights into our audience
- Maintain and challenge standards across the channels in keeping with our brand direction
- Research and present key social media developments, digital trends, and emerging talent and influencers, becoming an authority on the fast-paced pulse of social media
- Benchmark against key competitors and inspiring campaigns
- Work with the PR team to reach out to influencers, creating a passionate community of ambassadors for the brand
- Be plugged into social media and digital developments across all our existing and potential domestic and international networks
- Work cross functionally with the creative departments to ensure social-first outputs and develop micro and macro campaigns

- A confident copywriter with a flair for social captions and community management
- Capable of working within a pressurized environment to tight deadlines
- Confident and positive with solution-orientated outlook
- Able to deal with ambiguity and be a self starter
