Role Responsibility
Selfridges Fashion Direction Team are looking for an experienced Creative Shoot Producer who will be responsible for the day to day production and administration of the photographic function and will support marketing activity across all their retail channels, including Editorial site content, Campaign, Brand partnerships, special projects, Social first content exclusive launches across Domestic & International.
Reporting to Shoot & Production Manager, the Creative Shoot Producer is responsible for commissioning and logistical delivery of all photographic & video content, responsible for managing the photographic budget, schedules and the end to end management of projects, acting as a liaison between Marketing, Creative and Production teams.
You will be an experienced negotiator and organiser, develop and maintain relationships with external photographic suppliers, ensuring that best value is secured constantly. Working closely with Art Directors, Photographers, Stylists and Model agencies to deliver the best in class imagery required to support their creative vision.
With impeccable organisation skills and a wealth of Shoot Production experience, you will bring enthusiasm and energy to our Shoot Team, whilst upholding ‘Best in Class’ standards and processes to fine tune processes as you see fit. You will have exemplary communication skills which can build lasting relationships with 3rd Parties, Stakeholders (Internal & External) and Key Industry Figures alike.
You will know the intricacies of end-to-end management of Shoots which give all stakeholders ‘Peace of Mind’, but also bring fresh insight and ideas due to your proven track record, genuine passion and creative flair and eye for detail in Fashion & Retail.
As Shoot Producer, you will be responsible for:
- Reporting to the Shoot & Production Manager to diligently deliver Selfridges seasonal shoot calendar in a timely, budget orientated and quality focussed manor.
- Manage the set-up, administration, pre-production, post- production and logistic implementation of creative shoots.
- Creates shoot briefs, call sheets and detailed shoot schedule.
- Maintain the seasonal critical paths and advance planning, managing schedules and delivery, and adherence to budget.
- Oversee Image management processes – re-touching – design – artwork- repro.
- Collate the photographic requirements across multiple channels, by category – seeking out and co-ordinating the seasonal business needs. Identifying opportunities to avoid duplication, and achieve economies of scale.
- Provisionally book, option, and confirm shoot teams – locations, studios, product and travel logistics - ensuring transparency of cost, and rigid budget control.
- Using price matrix menu as guide, manage cost negotiation to achieve best value from supply base.
- Diligence in Budget Management on all projects, as well as ensuring suppliers & 3rd parties are paid on time. Issue purchase orders, process invoices and reconcile accounts.
- Support the Art Directors with calling in new talent, and sharing with the Fashion Direction & Creative teams
- Negotiate usage rights by channel and territory securing lowest possible exposure to cost and risk.
- Manage carnet and the management and production of off-shore shoots, liaising with production companies.
- Ensures security and integrity of digital images, managing a robust archive
- Maintain a history of all external crews, models, and photographers for reference.
- Highly organised with strong industry connections.
- Be present on Shoots to ensure brief is fully delivered.
- Strong, in-depth end-to-end knowledge of studio-based shoot production and risk mitigation from, Conception, Pre-Shoot, Shoot & Post-Production, including, but not exhaustive too, Equipment, Couriers, shoot team Co-Ordination, Prop Selection, Studio Locations,
- Ability to review, plan and execute shoot schedule on a weekly, monthly & quarterly basis whilst always ensuring business priorities are achieved.
- Self-motivated, detail-focussed and can drive collaborative success in Production through autonomy to create clear creative solutions.
- Encourage collaborative behaviours and flourish when working with highly creative and productive teams in all environments

The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in producing fashion photography in the Creative/Fashion/Retail industry.
- Able to display autonomy and confidence in working practice in Shoot Production.
- Ability to make sound decisions, focus on detail, and a proactive problem solver who can think and act on their feet.
- Understanding and experience of all digital photographic & video formats, marketing & campaign distribution and usage
- Strong relationships with credible & high calibre Fashion/Film/Model/Stylists/Agents
- Creative, positive and logical thinker who can bring out the best in a brief.
- Strong understanding of industry rates and a good negotiator.
- Enjoy a fast paced working environment.
- Understanding of digital photography processes and related software - Capture One, Adobe Creative suite and understanding of digital asset management.
- Strong communication (both verbal & written) & interpersonal skills
