Job Introduction

Selfridges Fashion Direction Team are looking for an experienced Shoot Coordinator to support the project management and delivery of Selfridges editorial photographic & video content across all of Selfridges digital channels.

As the Shoot Coordinator at Selfridges, you will be part of the Fashion Direction team reporting to Head of Art Direction.  You will work alongside a team of Shoot Producers, Art Directors, Stylists & Casting Directors supporting the departments day to day running. You will support the Shoot Producers by managing the shoot calendar and associated budgets. Instigating forward planning meetings and briefings as well as day to day resource tracking for the team.

With impeccable organisation skills and a wealth of Shoot Coordination experience, you will bring enthusiasm and energy to our Fashion Direction team, whilst upholding ‘Best in Class’ standards and processes to fine tune processes as you see fit. You will have exemplary communication skills which can build lasting relationships with 3rd Parties, Stakeholders (Internal & External) and Key Industry Figures alike.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage the shoot calendar with weekly brand updates and agenda’s for key meetings
  • Shoot project tracking, ensuring alignment of shoot briefs and content plans
  • Support the Shoot Producers with pre & post production of shoots
  • Assist Shoot Producers on shoot briefs, call sheets, detailed shoot schedules and travel.
  • Maintain the seasonal critical paths and advance planning, managing project & team schedules for delivery
  • Being the key contact for brand imagery requirements
  • Working on post production, retouch notes, delivery of assets and distribution throughout the business
  • Supporting the Shoot Producers with editorial budget, individual shoot budgets, creating estimates and recording spends.
  • Processing invoices for shoots, music licenses and freelancers
  • Contribute to editorial meetings with updates of creative briefs and treatments
  • Take on ad-hoc tasks when required
  • Diligence in Budget Management on all projects, as well as ensuring suppliers & 3rd parties are paid on time. Issue purchase orders, process invoices and reconcile accounts.
  • Support & manage Art Directors resource per project pre & post production
  • Support Shoot Producers with the management and production of off-shore shoots
  • Ensures security and integrity of digital images, managing a robust archive
  • Highly organised, and delivery focused to ensure brief is fully delivered and relevant teams are communicated too
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will know the intricacies of end-to-end management of shoots which give all stakeholders ‘Peace of Mind’, but also bring fresh insight and ideas due to your proven track record, genuine passion and creative flair and eye for detail in fashion & retail.
  • Experienced in project management, shoot coordination in the Creative/Fashion/Retail industry.
  • Self-motivated, detail-focussed and can drive collaborative success
  • Encourage collaborative behaviours and flourish when working with highly creative and productive teams in all environments.
  • Able to display autonomy and confidence within the team by ensuring all projects are tracked, communicated and running efficiently.
  • Ability to make sound decisions, focus on detail, and a proactive problem solver who can think and act on their feet.
  • Solid understanding of digital photographic & video formats, marketing & campaign distribution and usage
  • Strong organisational skills, analytical, and familiar with budgets and Excel
  • Positive and logical thinker who can bring out the best in delivering a brief
  • Strong understanding of industry rates and a good negotiator.
  • Enjoy a fast-paced working environment.
  • Understanding of digital photography processes and related software
  • Strong communication (both verbal & written) & interpersonal skills
