Senior Stills Photographer - Photostudio

Job Introduction

Now, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Stills photographer to join our Studio team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience shooting Stills for e-commerce with a specialist interest in Fine jewellery and watches.

This role will set the standard for photographic excellence across Stills and support the Creative and Image Lead in bringing the Selfridges POV to life. 

The Role:

• Reporting to the Photography Editor, you’ll help shape our creative vision in Stills e-commerce  and when required support on editorial and creative. As a Senior member of the team you will the set standard in KPIs and be responsible for leading by example in delivery. 
• You will collaborate with the Styling, Art Direction and our Production teams to deliver high quality creative digital content. You will set the standard across Stills and mannequin sets
• Your imagery will provide our customers with an engaging digital experience across Fine Jewellery, Watches, Accessories, Flowers and Food.
• As part of the Photo Studio team, your work will embody the Selfridges brand, reflecting our commitment to style, innovation, and quality. Multitasking is essential, as you’ll be part of multiple projects simultaneously, each requiring impeccable attention to detail and a deep understanding of our customer base. They will also require a high level of technical knowledge, collaboration and leadership.

As a Senior Stills Photographer, you will: 

• Lead on Stills photography across all Selfridges product categories 
• Be an expert on imagery across High-end watches and jewellery. 
• Set the standard for lighting across all creative and e-comm Stills sets.
• Collaborate and support our Creative photographic team when required
• Provide daily support to the Photography Editor
• Establish and maintain high-quality standards for all photographic content, ensuring consistency and excellence in all images produced as well as an excellent attitude to the role and business
• Actively participate in meetings, sharing ideas and concepts, and effectively communicating information to the team during weekly meetings
• Take initiative in testing innovative shooting techniques, and communicate these changes clearly with the broader team
• Create and update Stills resource packs and guides for Photographers, ensuring these updates are effectively shared across the Photo studio teams        
• Attend weekly Senior team meetings and collaborate with the wider creative departments including Visual merchandising, Social, Personal Shopping and Creative vision.
• Support and motivate other team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Assist with the maintenance of photography equipment and handling repair logistics with accredited companies. 

You will have:

• Extensive experience shooting Stills for e-commerce with a specialist interest in Fine jewellery and watches.

• A thorough and comprehensive knowledge of editorial, e-commerce fashion, and still-life photography 

• A strong portfolio of Stills imagery across luxury goods
• A solid portfolio of video across Stills content

• Solid experience in Video capture on Stills and Editing video content would be a benefit
• Excellent understanding of photography equipment and software (Adobe Creative Suite and Capture One) Creative Force would be a benefit.
