Role Responsibility
The “Senior Quality Engineer “(Agile Testing Manager) is responsible for defining and assuring the Quality of the solution for the projects / initiatives within the Data & Analytics domain. The role is responsible for high level Test strategy, Planning, Test delivery governance, Building automation approach & framework, and supporting the development and implementation of the solution through all environments to production.
This role requires a strong quality leadership , Quality Engineering and Retail domain expertise for leading cross functional testing teams across the domain in validating and implementing the complex strategic initiatives. The candidate would need to define the E2E testing strategy and build a roadmap for processes, automation, tools, frameworks and skill sets within the domain working along with Quality Engineering Chapter Lead. One of the key deliverables for this role is also to implement End to End test automation for the testing programs as well as automate End to End regression for all BAU flows.
May have responsibility for planning, budgeting, and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning.
Full Test management responsibility of inhouse or supplier team within that domain, which may include line management. Manages initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production
As Senior Quality Engineer you will:
• Define & Implement of Domain Test Strategy, technical assurance on complex. Management of all Data & Analytics Squads and Projects through the test phase (including managing budgets, resource planning and 3rd party vendors), tracking, reporting, and managing continuous improvement of quality practices.
• Work with the delivery team participating in all estimation and planning sessions, defining, and creating acceptance test criteria at a domain level.
• Bring value to requirements engineering (such as three-amigos conversations) to prevent quality issues arising from vague, inconsistent, or untestable requirements , drive and implement the Shift Left QA approach
• Ability to evolve whole team approaches to quality and coach teams to understand how they all contribute to continuous testing in the CI / CD pipeline and the rest of the delivery and run cycle
• Work closely with the vendor resources to ensure they are cross trained across applications and have a complete understanding of the various interactions within the eco system for a given End to End flow
• Coach, mentor & support Quality Engineers in automation best practices, tools, framework, planning & delivery of test automation strategy
• Identify the areas of risk, provide ongoing visibility of those to the Programme Management team, effective risk mitigation and introduction of best practices.
• Demonstrate the ability to utilise metrics, and other forms of production feedback (such as monitoring) to revise risk views and feed back into future enhancements of the delivery engineering pipeline
• Demonstrate good hands-on experience or expertise in non-functional testing such as performance, accessibility, and security testing
The Ideal Candidate
• Comfortable with both packaged and bespoke Data and ML solutions applications.
• Having in depth functional and product knowledge on some of the leading industry tools : data lakes and modern enterprise data warehouse, business intelligence, data hubs, AI & ML (including NLP), data science, data engineering, cognitive & real time analytics, and delivery experience of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics use cases.
• Hands one expertise in testing DB2, Power BI , Google Bigquery, Snowflake, Oracle & SQL Server Databases.
• Date warehouse testing, Informatica, Google Data Analytics,
ETL Transformation Mapping and SQL Queries
• Familiarity of middleware applications like SOA/ODI/MFT and MQ/IIB is desirable for this role
• Experienced with different delivery lifecycles and service delivery methods
• Familiar with Test Management (Zephyr, JIRA etc),Automation and CI/CD (Git Hub/ Jenkins) tools and techniques
• Good knowledge on Python.

• Prioritise work and remain focussed on the most critical tasks, ensuring time and resources are used efficiently and effectively
• Confident, able to make tough decisions and stick to them when questioned
