Role Responsibility

A Senior Product Manager will drive the product vision and outcomes for customers, end users and stake holders

Reporting into the Head of Product and working closely with the business and the tech team creating exciting new experiences for our customers and opportunities for our business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Line Management of a Product Manager within the team, helping them develop their Product skillsets and coaching them to develop in their role. 

 

  • Lead the identification of opportunities for the Product and developing these into a Product backlog, ensuring there is always clear value add and stakeholder buy-in

 

  • Manage single or multiple squads, writing user stories, defining MVP (Minimum Viable Product), and partaking in ceremonies

 

  • Be the ‘go to’ person for your Product bringing innovative ideas whilst using your own expertise and experience to ensure the best outcomes are delivered for customer and business

 

  • Work with the tech teams to ensure wider dependencies and implications for changes are understood and managed, building a clear understanding of our technical architecture
  • Inform squad level budget in partnership with Delivery and build out future capability by driving strategic vision for the overall Tribe

 

  • Build and maintain relationships with your key stakeholders. Guiding the product function and wider stakeholder group to establish cross-functional ways of working  

 

  • Work closely with Digital Analytics to define clear KPIs for initiatives and ensure post implementation analysis is conducted to drive learnings

 

  • Collaborate with User Research and UX teams to ensure customer journeys are continuously optimised and best practices adhered to in relation to accessibility and usability

 

  • Keep on top of market trends and feed these back into the Product team

 

  • Be an active member of the Product community, mentoring and supporting the development of others

The Ideal Candidate

  • Product development experience, a thorough understanding of the complete product life cycle

 

  • Experience in developing a clear Product Strategy and working with stakeholders, delivery, and engineering to deliver on this

 

  • Confident working in an agile environment

 

  • Highly organised, motivated, and able to work well as part of a close team

 

  • Articulate and confident communicator across all business levels

 

  • Confident in adjusting scope to meet business deadlines

 

  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

  • Strong Product leadership, being able to mentor and coach more junior team members to support their growth and development
