Role Responsibility

As our new Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue for an exciting new destination coming soon to Selfridges Oxford Street. As part of this, you will:

  • Develop a strategy to build the Lifestyle category overall and annual marketing plans across all the key Lifestyle sub-categories (Food, Restaurants, Wine spirits, Home and Tech & Cinema)
  • Lead teams from Creative, PR, Events, Internal Agency, Windows, Visual, Buying, Digital & Merchandising and Internal Communications to deliver all Lifestyle category campaigns.
  • Maximise brand funding for all campaigns through driving marketing contribution from our suppliers and partner brands.
  • Work with key brand partners to develop top brand marketing plans and implement mutually beneficial marketing programmes.
  • Work pro-actively with the brands on multi-brand media opportunities implemented consistently across press, outdoor and radio advertising and that the investment from the brand is appropriate to the launch strategy.
  • Responsible for delivering and communicating an insights driven year plan for Lifestyle brand building activities for all stores
  • Manages the Lifestyle marketing budget for its campaigns and miscellaneous costs.
  • Ensure appropriate research and measurement programmes are in place and used to effectively manage the category.
  • Contributes to customer Insight initiatives with knowledge and expertise of Lifestyle consumers, the different consumer segments, and their motivations.

Real Estate

  • Responsible for building robust relationships with internal and external real estate inventory owners – GM’s, Windows, Graphics & VM teams, print suppliers
  • Own the revenue tracking of all sites, from account logging to invoice production, period monitoring and forecasting
  • Own and create weekly & monthly reports on revenue status for Senior Stakeholders
  • Build cinema revenue system based on available inventory
  • Manage the cost & revenue lines across 5 P&Ls in the business

The Ideal Candidate

  • You’ll have lots of relevant experience within Brand Marketing and Communications, Sales, Media, Digital, Events or PR (preferably a good mix of a number of these!) and expertise in media sales and OOH.
  • You’ll be able to think strategically with a good idea of what best-in-class marketing looks like.
  • Having a confident sales ability will be essential for this role, so you’ve got to be a great communicator who knows how to build meaningful relationships with a variety of different people.
  • You’ll be extremely resilient with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a focus on delivery – just the kind of person we need to motivate others.
