Security Operations Centre Duty Manager

Role Responsibility

As Security Operations Centre Manager​, you will ensure a highly effective and efficient Security Operations Centre (SOC) that operates 24/7/365, in accordance with the Selfridges SOC Standard Operation Procedures and in alignment with applicable British Standards and Legislation. Providing overall leadership to a large SOC Team of Analysts.

As Security Operations Centre Manager​ you will:

ØManage the day to day monitoring and integration of all key systems including CCTV, alarms, travel, media, social media, building management, fire safety, across all locations

ØResponsible for the centralised incident reporting and escalation. Responding effectively to incidents and escalations including participating in incident & crisis management, exercises, tests and training, as required by the SBRM 

ØDevelop and establish the SOC policy, procedures, standards and measurements, across all key locations and subsidiary control rooms

ØLead on innovation by implementing controls and measures that reduce stock loss in all key locations

ØRecruit and train SOC personnel on appropriate security policy and SOC procedures, embedding and owning a positive culture and awareness, across all locations

ØEstablish solid and collaborative working relationships with Security Managers, LP Managers, Investigations Managers and Financial Crime Managers to collaboratively combat all loss and crime

ØBuild effective relationships with all relevant external parties: Police, National Crime Agency, Crime Prevention agencies and collaborate with other organisations in identifying and sharing good practice

ØPrepare and control the budget for SOC operations, to ensure delivery of operational excellence

ØProduce period reporting and analysis for the Senior Business Resilience Manager as required

 

 

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

ØA leader, who is naturally pragmatic, enthusiastic and motivational. You are able to ability to influence and inspire change when necessary

ØExperienced. You have a background in developing and embedding effective security strategies in a retail environment as well as SOC policies and procedures

ØA great communicator. Able to manage multiple stakeholders, and engage people at every level of our business, influencing change where necessary

ØQualified. You have front line SIA licence and CCTV SIA Licence 

ØNaturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can give clear guidance in times of crisis

ØProficient with IT, security systems and other communications

ØKnowledgeable. You have a full understanding of compliance with all associate statutory regulations and legislation
