Security Operations Centre Analyst

Job Introduction

As a Security Operations Centre Analyst, you will be part of a collaborative team, driving positive and sustainable change throughout Selfridges to protect our People, Property and Profitability. Responsible for the security, safety and well-being of all team members, suppliers, visitors, and customers through the monitoring of CCTV. Working with Loss Prevention & Security Management, as well as retail stores and head office teams, you will be alert and highly vigilant to any potential risks.

As Security Operations Centre Analyst you will:

  • Be responsible for monitoring security day to day across various systems. From analysing suspicious or criminal activity through CCTV, to monitoring fire, intruder detection systems and building services. Intercepting incidents and activations and responding accordingly 
  • Work with Loss Prevention, Security and Crime & Investigations teams to investigate internal and external crime and stock loss. Preparing police witness statements and gathering evidence for Crime & Investigations teams as and when necessary
  • Support the co-ordination of store security teams, in the arrest and detection of offenders
  • Intercept incident escalation calls and escalate as appropriate, including liaising with security leadership, senior store leadership and the crisis response teams
  • Ensure standards and measurements for the Security Operations Centre are met and adhered to 
  • Carry out analysis of security related incidents, where required

A bit about you:

  • Knowledgeable. A have a background in both the retail and security industry, you will have experience in, and an understanding of, Security procedures and protocols
  • Qualified. You will have an SIA licence and CCTV SIA Licence 
  • Proficient with IT, Security and communications systems
  • Collaborative. Building relationships is one of your strengths. Whether it’s with the team to drive performance, your stakeholders to initiate positive change, or with the wider Selfridges community, you realise the importance on working together
  • A great communicator. You are clear and concise in your written and verbal communication, able to analyse data to form reports
  • Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can give clear guidance in times of crisis
