Role Responsibility

As a store Security Manager, you will support in delivering and maintaining the security strategy in store, and optimising security systems and technology to combat crime. Building and maintaining a positive culture of loss prevention and security through regular stakeholder engagement, training and awareness campaigns in store, Protecting our people, property and profitability is at the heart of what you do.​

As Security Manager you will:​

  • Act as Store Duty Security Manager when required. Responding to incidents effectively, including evacuation, invacuation and other emergency security and safety procedures, utilising all resources available and engaging with senior store leadership and our executive team if necessary​

  • Partner with the Loss Prevention & Inventory Manager to identify the root cause of stock loss, cash loss and other crime in the store. Conducting regular Security and LP compliance audits.​

  • Work with the Senior Business Resilience Manager to ensure all incidents are escalated quickly and effectively, including taking witness statements and evidence gathering to support internal and external investigations, including prosecution of offenders​

  • Support the Senior Security Operations Manager in delivering and maintaining the security strategy in the store, and optimising security systems and technology to combat crime​

  • Build effective relationships with all relevant external parties: Police, National Crime Agency, Crime Prevention agencies and Partner with other Retail Loss Prevention leadership in identifying and sharing best practices. ​

  • Collaborate with Loss Prevention and Security Managers to develop new processes and controls to combat, and ultimately reduce shrinkage, through any and all causes; theft, waste, damages, administrative, vendor discrepancies or other operational opportunities​​​

  • Effectively embed the Security strategy across the store through regular stakeholder engagement, training and awareness campaigns in store. Support store leadership in understanding the local security and police activity, threat analysis and risk profile

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced. You will have an extensive background working in a Security, Loss Prevention or Police role, along with management experience​

  • Qualified. You hold an existing SIA front line license and certificates in Health and Safety. IOSH, NEBOSH is highly advantageous ​

  • Passionate about Security, Safety and Loss Prevention. You are able to spot  opportunities to increase and improve our security procedures ​

  • Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can give clear guidance in times of crisis​

  • Engaging with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders across various functions in order to drive compliance and change ​

  • Experienced in developing effective security policy and procedures in a retail environment​

  • Knowledgeable of current industry legislation (Theft Act, PACE, GDPR etc) accreditations and licensing relating to the provision of Security services as well as of Physical Security standards, industry best practice and policy ​
