Role Responsibility

We are currently seeking an experienced Delivery Manager/Scrum Master to join the Selfridges Digital Platform.  

Salesforce provides a 360 view of our customers and is the platform for supporting our contact centres, powering our clienteling application and enabling analytical reporting and marketing communications.  

You will be responsible for the Salesforce team; ensuring the multi-discipline development teams’ understanding of Agile principles, practices and frameworks to help deliver valuable outcomes across our varied stakeholders.  

Reporting to the Customer & Data Delivery lead, you will support and enable the team to self-organise, collaborate and continuously learn & improve.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work with Salesforce Scrum team to ensure timely delivery of features 

  • Promote a safe, trusting and open environment for the team 

  • Ability to inspire and coach teams with varying levels of Agile experience and maturity 

  • Facilitation of all Scrum ceremonies i.e., backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives and the daily stand-up (including demos/showcases) 

  • Support the efficient flow of work through the team by helping the teams remove obstacles / impediments 

  • Ability to work closely with Product Managers to incrementally deliver value to the business 

  • Support the team to develop a continuous learning and improvement culture 

  • Ensure the team are following engineering best including test automation, platform observability and CI/CD 

  • Work with development and support teams to ensure effective knowledge transfer to transition services into BAU 

  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile frameworks, in particular Scrum 

  • Enable teams to monitor progress within and across sprints using effective metrics 

  • Work with Delivery Leads to estimate and roadmap features to meet the needs of wider programme dependencies 

  • Actively participate in the identification and resolution of risks, issues and dependencies 

  • Be involved in the team budget and management 

  • Ability to forge strong relationships with our Stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate

Person Specification: 

You are a highly self-motivated team player who has the passion to motivate, plan and organise a team to ensure features are delivered in a timely manner. 

Someone who lives and breathes Agile, and who can drive teams forward with a positive and infectious enthusiasm 

You are result driven and appreciate that returning value to the business is the ultimate goal. 

You will have a customer-first mindset, with the maturity and initiative to do what it takes to achieve results. 

Skills & Experience: 

Required: 

  • Experience of Salesforce development (or other enterprise level CRM experience) 

  • Knowledge and experience of Agile frameworks, in particular Scrum and Kanban 

  • Experience working in complex, enterprise environments with dependencies across multiple teams 

  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, BDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games 

  • Ability to work well with teams that are a mix of onshore and near shore development teams bringing a sense of unity and team cohesiveness 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills 

  • Great problem solving and conflict resolution skills 

  • Coaching and mentoring experience 

Desirable: 

  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Lean 

  • Technical background
