Retail Training Assistant, Internal Applicants Only
Role Responsibility
- Take ownership for all admin related to Take to the Stage and Retake the Stage
- Create a learning environment by hosting the learning space and ensuring that everybody is welcome
- Track divisional attendance to weekly booked sessions and report attendance to the Retail Training Manager
- Support the Retail Trainers with the on-boarding process for new starters, ensuring that new team members bookings are complete and learning space is being used to to its full capacity
- Be a point of contact in the learning space to troubleshoot for learners if their retail trainer is not present and feeding back on observations to the relevant trainer
- Support the Customer Experience Manager with the design and delivery of some specific retail knowledge sessions
- Partner with the Learning and Development Advisors to co-ordinate all The Big Yellow Welcome and Take to the Stage planning
- Support the Retail Trainers in any ad hoc admin work required
- Develop a consistently comprehensive knowledge of the business and products, becoming a retail expert
- Actively share knowledge with retail team members to support their on-boarding
- Actively promote learning and development through team briefs, appropriate meeting forums and team communication channels as appropriate
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Analytical skills with the ability to identify trends
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and learners
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage workload
- Accurate with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Confident with the ability to be professional and courteous at all times
- Experience of working within a retail environment is an advantage
- Proactive, able to work on their own, as well as with others in a team
- Problem solving and an ability to focus on more than one project at a time
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
