Role Responsibility

As a Resourcing Consultant at Selfridges your main role focuses include:

  • To drive consistent processes to deliver recruitment needs
  • To creatively manage attraction methods which deliver results
  • To establish and maintain both internal and external relationships
  • To support recruitment related business activity
  • To promote the Selfridges Employer Brand

 

Key Responsibilities

Establish and manage the internal recruitment process:

  • Drive consistent processes across the business e.g. role briefings, vacancy proformas, selection tools. Partner with hiring managers to ensure all processes are suitable for the role and review where relevant. Share recruitment knowledge with hiring managers to ensure high standards through the process.
  • Advise TribePad users across all sites and maintain consistent standards through meeting training needs, maximising system productivity and resolving technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain TribePad through good housekeeping and ensuring the site is being used to its full potential, such as reporting and driving a strong relationship with account managers. Sharing knowledge with wider team to ensure this is delivered.
  • Identify opportunities for internal recruitment events and work with a range of stakeholders to deliver a value adding event.
  • Update vacancy / filled roles trackers – regularly looking at the data and sharing this with business partners to highlight key themes, risks and opportunities. Reviewing our reporting tools to ensure reporting is accurate and in line with business needs.
  • Partner with HR to ensure approaches are streamlined and information is shared throughout the recruitment process.
  • Work with a range of internal stakeholders to create and deliver an SLA
  • Ensure right to work knowledge and processes are up to date and adhered to and ensure this is being upkeep throughout the wider resourcing team.
  • Constantly evaluating the candidate experience to ensure an extraordinary experience – working with a range of stakeholders to deliver this.

 

Drive and uphold attraction methods 

  • Maintain and promote careers website - ensuring the site is up to date and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to drive attraction.
  • Promote agreed job boards and review success, looking at measures such as ROI, application rates. Be responsible for ensuring we are getting the best out of existing partnerships and driving these relationships forward along with being at the forefront of new ways to attract candidates within this space.
  • Potentializing our presence on LinkedIn to increase candidate attraction – working as wider team to share best proactive and with LinkedIn to stay at the forefront of developments and ensure strong ROI on spend
  • Advise on use of Media Agency services and drive the relationship and results.
  • Drive internal refer a friend scheme and review the success for roles on a regular basis. Partner with hiring managers and HR Partners on how to drive internal networks and referral opportunities.
  • Develop talent pools based on attraction methods, with a focus on ensuring these networks are current and managed efficiently.
  • Manage agency relationships within own business areas including owning the PSL for allocated business areas, ensuring terms are current and competitive and the agencies represent Selfridges to the highest possible standard.
  • Be at the forefront of industry developments through networking, event attendance and press to create current and efficient attraction methods
  • Operating within budget constraints – tracking spend and ROI efficiently. Constantly reviewing ROI and partnering with finance to ensure spend is within budget and tracked efficiently.

 

Maintain positive and effective working relationships with internal and external partners to deliver timely recruitment solutions:

  • Oversee a range of relevant external organisations and proactively identify companies that will help in delivering our routes to success and recruitment vision.
  • Manage recruitment correspondence to effectively maintain the employer brand – work with stakeholders to ensure tone of voice and information is current. 
  • Build strong working relationships with HR Business Partners to ensure a high service level is provided to all business areas.
  • Work with all HR departments to manage the employee life cycle , reviewing HR metrics and looking at opportunities to drive the department forward
  • Create a strong working relationship with Learning and Development to create a seamless on-boarding process and proactively look at ways of working.
  • Drive efficient recruitment processes to ensure HR Admin have all information required for inducting new starters into the business.
  • Work closely with Selfridges Group to share knowledge, ways of working and candidate pools.
  • Partner with internal departments such as Internal Communications to create collateral for Resourcing.
  • Work closely with Finance and Accounts to manage costs.
  • Liaise with legal on contracts.
  • Take a role model approach to more junior members of the Resourcing Team and wider business and can develop team members through development tools, coaching and other available tools.
  • Create excellent working relationships with the resourcing team members in other areas of the business to create consistency and a sharing of knowledge.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of managing the end to end recruitment process for both volume and specific recruitment areas ideally within Retail Head Office
  • An in-depth knowledge of candidate attraction methods such as LinkedIn.
  • Exposure using a range of social media methods to build brand engagement and increase candidate attraction.
  • Strong experience in designing an evaluating recruitment tools such as role guides and selection tools.
  • Exposure of managing reports including vacancy trackers, finance updates and performance reports.
  • Knowledge of using ATS systems.
  • Working knowledge of Workday advantageous
  • Experience of developing individuals in their roles either through line management or partnering.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, evolving retail environment.
  • Knowledge of recruitment attraction methodology, branding and the retail industry.
  • Experience of working in a team environment and the ability to build strong cross departmental relationships at all levels.
  • A background in direct sourcing through headhunting and market mapping.
  • Knowledge of employment law including immigration.
