Role Responsibility

The Selfridges Recruitment Team are part of the wider HR team who are focused on recruiting, retaining and developing the best talent for Selfridges.

 As a Recruitment Consultant your focus will be to ensure appropriate Recruitment processes and plans are in place to deliver this. You will use your broad skillset to ensure that these processes are followed internally to fulfil current and future recruitment needs along with constantly looking at ways to ensure we are the destination for an extraordinary candidate experience.

Role Scope:

  • To drive consistent processes to deliver recruitment needs across all sites
  • To creatively manage attraction methods which deliver results
  • To establish and maintain both internal and external relationships
  • To support recruitment related business activity
  • To promote the Employer Brand

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of managing the end to end RETAIL recruitment process for both volume and specific recruitment areas.
  • An in-depth knowledge of candidate attraction methods such as LinkedIn.
  • Exposure using a range of social media methods to build brand engagement and increase candidate attraction.
  • Strong experience in designing an evaluating recruitment tools such as role guides and selection tools.
  • Exposure of managing reports including vacancy trackers, finance updates and performance reports.
  • Knowledge of using ATS systems.
  • Working knowledge of Workday.
  • Experience of developing individuals in their roles either through line management or partnering.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, evolving retail environment.
  • Knowledge of recruitment attraction methodology, branding and the retail industry.
  • Experience of working in a team environment and the ability to build strong cross departmental relationships at all levels.
  • A background in direct sourcing through headhunting and market mapping.
  • Knowledge of employment law including immigration.
