Project Manager - Creative & Sustainability

Job Introduction

Are you looking for a Project Manager role that gives you the chance to deliver extraordinary retail experiences? Do you have a great affinity with the Creative world as well as strong sustainability values? Looking for a company that wants to help further your career as well as provide you with an exciting, inspiring and fun place to work?

If the answer to all of these questions is ‘yes’ then you’re just the kind of person we’re looking for!

Role Responsibility

As our new Project Manager – B&M Projects, you will be instrumental in delivering Selfridges Schemes (from a product perspective), Buying Better/Inspiring Change initiatives and Corner Shop projects. As part of this you will:

  • Create clear project plans to show the deliverables of key stakeholders/team members.

  • Build relationships with external partners and delivery teams and be familiar with their remit/duties across the business.

  • Work with stakeholders to determine role and responsibility allocation at the start up.

  • Maintain and update clear project documentation and communicate this appropriately.

  • Provide status updates and highlight progress and risk so that corrective action can be taken.

  • Develop and maintain clear and critical paths & trackers for the projects.

  • Ensure that projects are reviewed at their completion and learnings are shared with the wider team.

  • Work closely with the Buying team to manage the correlation of key information for each project.

  • Be the go-to person for the most up to date information and status overviews for B&M projects.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You’ll have relevant experience in the delivery of complex projects to deadlines, and you’ll know how to remain calm under pressure.

  • You’ll be highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

  • You’ll know how to coach and steer to achieve the results you want through people.

  • Previous experience working across Sustainability projects and a passion for it would be a huge bonus.

  • Building rapport and communicating well with others, both verbally and non-verbally will set you up for success in this role.

  • You will have sound judgement with the ability to make quick decisions effectively and with conviction.

  • You’ll have previous line management experience and know how to lead and develop a team.

  • You will be able to present project updates to Senior Management with confidence and clarity.

If you’re looking to come into a new role and make a real impact, then this will be perfect for you. It doesn’t just stop at project management - we have lots of opportunities to get involved and collaborate on projects and in communities internally, so no two days will ever be the same. As Harry Gordon Selfridge once said, ‘There’s no fun like work!’
