Production Coordinator

Job Introduction

Are you looking for a Windows Production Coordinator role that gives you the chance to facilitate the effective delivery of creative concepts with exceptional results? Are you looking for a role in an organisation that is renowned for its use of imagination and creativity? Looking for a company that wants to help further your career in Windows Production as well as provide you with an exciting, inspiring and fun place to work?

If the answer to all of these questions is ‘yes’ then you’re just the kind of person we’re looking for!

Role Responsibility

As our new Windows Production Coordinator, you’ll continue to build on the respected reputation Selfridges’ windows hold by ensuring all scheme launches are successfully delivered on time and produced to the best possible standards. As part of this, you will:

  • Work closely with the Production Manager and Styling Team on the practical realisation of our windows schemes.

  • Manage suppliers to keep an eye on the progression of builds, making sure they are on brief, executed beautifully and to resolve any difficulties that might arise.

  • Conduct research into production methods and different technologies to ensure Selfridges’ windows remain one step ahead of our competitors and continue to uphold our reputation in retail and beyond.

  • Support with research to aid the development of production methods and materials for each scheme.

  • Share information with the rest of the team to provide regular updates on workload, deadline and schedules.

  • Build strong relationships with your internal and external stakeholders, and act as the ‘go-to’ person across the wider business on all things windows-related.

  • Own the sign off process and delivery of Real Estate branded windows, liaising with brands externally and Marketing teams internally to ensure branded windows are delivered in line with scheme and to our standards

You’ll be reporting into the Creative Presentation Production Manager as well as working closely with the Assistant Windows Production Manager, Windows Production Assistant and the Styling Team to facilitate the delivery of all our creative concepts.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You’ll be a practical, hands-on type of person who is no stranger to a tool box and has plenty of experience in practical installation and prop handling. You must be able to install schemes and maintain back of house storage in this role!

  • You’ll be curious and inquisitive by nature, with experience of creative research. You’ll also have strong material knowledge so you’ll always be on hand to give your opinion on what you think will work or not.

  • You’ll have strong IT skills with basic proficiency in Word, Excel, Photoshop and Sketch Up.

  • You’ll also produce good written work and accurate, clearly presented data.

  • Strong multi-tasking abilities will work in your favour and you’ll know how to prioritise, delegate and work to tight deadlines in a calm and effective way.

  • You’ll have a positive attitude with an ability to establish strong, meaningful relationships with key people and you’ll inspire this way of working within the production team too!

This job is a brilliant opportunity to join a creative team who are passionate about maintaining the reputation of Selfridges’ windows across the World. It doesn’t just stop at Creative Presentation either - we have lots of opportunities to get involved and collaborate on projects and in communities internally, so no two days will ever be the same. As Harry Gordon Selfridge once said, ‘There’s no fun like work!’
