Product Technical Specialist
Job Introduction
To work within the Online Content Team producing accurate and informative product attributes to best inform the Selfridges customer. To ensure daily and weekly deadlines are met in order to maintain the smooth running of the Online studio. To support the Online Content Team in delivering authoritative product copy that informs the reader and enhances the Selfridges customer experience.
Role Responsibility
- Continue to build the Selfridges reputation as an authoritative fashion destination through informative product details that is accurate to size and product attributes, writing up to 90 technical bullet-point descriptions daily
- Good understanding of SEO and how to use this effectively in order to maximise revenue
- Work closely with the in-house copy and freelance copy teams, communicatuing effectivley and reacting to change requests and updates
- Liaise with the wider Online Team when required in order to rectify data and/or imagery issues in a timely manner
- Work with Brand Specialists and stylists to ensure focussed, consistent copy that highlights unique selling points in order to provide the very best customer experience
- Manage your own time, prioritising workload where required to meet deadlines in a very fast-paced studio environment

Skills / Experience
- Great English language and grammar skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to work at pace, as part of a high standards team, managing workload to timelines
- Excellent writing skills
- Knowledge/awareness of SEO
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated with good problem solving skills
- A background within fashion/textiles and/or copy
- Experience working with a content management system
Technical Skills
- Literate in the following – Microsoft Word, Excel
- Experienced in using Content Management Systems

- Keen interest in the luxury retail sector with a sound knowledge in fashion/textiles (preferred)
