Product Technical Specialist- Photostudio
Manage your workload in a very fast-paced demanding studio environment to produce informative and accurate and informative product attributes that best inform the Selfridges customer, writing details across fashion and other categories, such as accessories. Ensuring smooth workflow processes and helping to build the Selfridges reputation as an authoritative retail destination. Meeting daily deadlines and KPIs alongside seasonal launches within a reactive and ever-changing environment.
Within the Online Photostudio department, the PTS team plays a key role in delivering our product offering to our online customer and is integral to the smooth running of our fast-paced e-commerce studio, working alongside styling, photography, product handling, production and more, this role requires a strong ability to communicate, work efficiently, effectively and collaboratively.
This role is a 3 month Fixed Term Contract.
As a Product Technical Specialist, you will:
- Continue to build the Selfridges reputation as an authoritative fashion destination through informative product details that are accurate to size and product attributes, writing up to 65 technical bullet-point descriptions daily.
- Measuring product, identifying fabric compositions, understanding, and having a genuine interest in garment construction.
- Dissecting information from Excel sheets and formatting to our house style.
- Good understanding of SEO and how to use this effectively to maximise revenue.
- Work closely with the stylists, prep stylists, and general studio team to effectively communicate and fulfil your role.
- Work closely with the in-house copy and freelance copy teams, communicating effectively and reacting to change requests and updates.
- Liaise with the wider Digital Operations team when required to rectify data and/or imagery issues in a timely manner.
- Work with Brand Specialists and stylists to ensure focussed, consistent copy that highlights unique selling points to provide the very best customer experience.
- Manage your own time, prioritising workload where required to meet deadlines in a very fast-paced studio environment.
You will have:
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Experience working at pace, as part of a high standards team, managing workload to timelines
- Understanding and knowledge of garment construction and technical wording/fabrics/prints
- Keen interest in the luxury retail sector with a sound knowledge in fashion/textiles (preferred)
- Knowledge of high-street to high-end luxury brands
- Experience in an e-commerce retail/studio environment
- Excellent writing skills
- Understanding of how to research effectively
- Knowledge/awareness of SEO
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated with good problem-solving skills
- A background within fashion/textiles and/or copy
- Experienced in using Content Management Systems
- Literate in the following – Microsoft Word, Excel
- Organised and efficient
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Calm within a fast-paced environment
