Product Manager - Store & Stock Technology

As Product Manager for Store & Stock Technology, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement across a range of systems used within our retail stores and Buying team, including In-Store Inventory Management, Pick From Store and Buying, Planning & Forecasting tools.
Working without a permanent development squad, you will support in identifying & sizing opportunities in collaboration with business teams, demonstrating a laser-like focus on value and return on investment to make the case for their inclusion in the roadmap.
You will report into the Product Lead, working collaboratively to build a strategic roadmap and cross-functionally with business and tech stakeholders to create and elaborate comprehensible user stories that can be effectively prioritised, estimated and developed.
Comfortable demonstrating authority through influence, you will have a passion for fostering collaborative and effective ways of working to deliver innovative and world class customer experiences.
As a Product Manager you will
- Support the domain’s vision, strategy and OKRs by ensuring that user stories are well defined and prioritised for development
- Work both independently and with Business Analysts to thoroughly assess benefits and return on investment, supporting a data led approach to problem solving & strategic planning
- Work with business and tech teams to ensure that relevant requirements and detail are identified and captured
- Manage your backlog, including defining user stories and acceptance criteria, with a focus on effective prioritisation
- Work collaboratively with the Delivery function to facilitate effective ways of working, managing cross dependencies and ensuring that the purpose and implications of a change are understood
- Build a clear understanding of the technical architecture within your area of ownership
- Build and maintain relationships with your key stakeholders
- Support UAT by collaborating with QA teams, business analysts and key stakeholders to ensure a continuous feedback loop
- Monitor feature adoption, customer engagement & satisfaction, ensuring the realisation of expected benefits
- Look out for market trends and get feedback from stakeholders or customers
A bit about you
- Product/project management experience with a thorough understanding of delivering technical change from initial conception to delivery
- Confident using data to support prioritisation decisions and agreeing suitable scope for initiative launches
- Strong technical knowledge of stock, buying & supply chain technologies would be desirable but not essential
- Proven experience in initiating and contributing to technical discovery
- Experience in writing clear and succinct user stories
- Confident working in a mixed agile and waterfall environment
- Highly organised, motivated, and able to work well as part of a close team
- Articulate and confident communicator across all business levels with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to tight deadline
