Role Responsibility

As the Marketing and Partnerships Lead you will lead the development and implementation of the Selfridges’ partnership activity through a customer lens, to amplify our core brand messaging through engaging collaborative brand moments and activations across our stores and digital platforms.  You’ll manage the brand revenue P&L and deliver against the business’s divisional objectives to grow awareness, engagement, intent, revenue and customers through these activations.

As the Marketing and Partnerships Lead you will:

-Lead and develop the Brand Partnerships programme for Selfridges

- Develop new brand partner strategies, identifying new partnership opportunities, as well as manage existing partner and sponsor relationships

- Manage the commercial relationships and primary communication with brand partners to deliver brand contributions, real estate and media site revenue, working to agreed targets

- Develop key brand partnership opportunities unique for VIP and membership programmes

- Manage the Selfridges partnership marketing activity, planning and aligning brand and collaboration opportunities to the Customer Calendar and ensure smooth execution of the activity.

- Work with Customer Planning Lead to integrate Partnership activity to the integrated marketing plan

- Work with channel owners, creative and events teams to develop engaging cross channel partnership activations across in store, online and across the full marketing channel mix

- Work with the channel owners to plan and execute key partnership campaigns targeting new customer acquisition, increased frequency of visit and purchase, setting and communicating clear budgets, objectives, targets and measures of success

- Work with Finance partners to ensure budget is maximised and efficient.  Provide regular forecasting and reforecasting as needed

- Manage the delivery of planned activity and associated finance admin

- Work with Creative and Communications teams to ensure the content reinforces the Selfridges brand messaging, to build brand equity, drawing on our core values and positioning Selfridges as a unique, world class destination that stands for a sustainable future and is inclusive for all. 

- Update the wider business on performance of partnership campaigns and activations, informing Retail, Digital, Creative and Editorial teams of planned activations and lessons learned. 

- Partner with the Customer Planning, Marketing, CRM and Insight teams to develop better customer insight and customer KPI measurement/tracking activity for customer segments to ensure the best targeting is selected for each campaign

- Lead, inspire and develop the Partnerships Marketing team

The Ideal Candidate

Has a media sales background, strong in strategic marketing and communications planning skills, ideally gained from the publishing sector with experience working with brands within the premium/luxury sector

- Knowledgeable of brand landscape for premium customer segments

- Have a creative flair to be able to put together engaging and premium packages for partners

- Experienced in working across broad cross-functional stakeholder groups to turn strategy into actionable plans.

- Strong in execution and delivery orientation - able to plan, manage and adapt multiple projects at the same time.

- Expert in the full marketing mix – able to plan and execute campaigns across both traditional and digital media, using an integrated combination of social, CRM, paid search, affiliate and influencer channels, digital display media, digital and physical events and animations etc.

- Experienced in measuring delivery of marketing plans against customer KPIs.

- Excellent in numeracy and analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information into concise recommendations and action for the company.

- Collaborative, open and transparent – able to navigate the organisation and to be comfortable with ambiguity.

- Experienced in managing and developing direct reports.
