Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Logistics Lead, the Logistics Operations Analyst will provide operational and analytical support to the day to day logistics operations, ensuring that all movement of product is managed and controlled efficiently.

As the Logistics Operations Analyst you will: 

  • Manage physical merchandise flow from [1] brands & suppliers [2] distribution centre and stores, ensuring compliance with local, national & international law and processes
  • Provide regular operational reporting that provides clear visibility of the status of Ex works shipments
  • Support business departments in compliance procedures, customs issues such as customs valuation, classification, special customs authorisation and other import / export requirements, updating advice / documentation, export controls and sanctions as necessary.
  • Provide regular reporting of  key performance indicators (KPIs) of Logistics partners to understand, manage and improve performance
  • Analyse cost and performance and drive actions for improvement
  • Ensure the delivery of world class service by working cross functionally, ensuring activities operate effectively and efficiently
  • Ensure that all products are moving without undue problems; identify issues and risks, establishing appropriate contingency plans
  • Manage trade awareness & compliance issues/opportunities with merchandise functions
  • Assist buying teams with pre-order negotiation where required
  • Working with freight partners to calculate shipping and duties costs and apply systemically

The Ideal Candidate

  • A background within logistics, preferably retail or a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Knowledge of customs / import / export procedures
  • Strong excel/Analytical skills.
