Role Responsibility
As a Learning & Development Manager with a focus on Digital learning, you will be leading our digital learning strategy including; developing our digital learning capability, managing our Learning Management System, and collaborating with SME’s across the business to design and deliver blended learning solutions and projects. You will report to the Learning & Development Lead and work with stakeholders across all of our stores and Head Office functions alongside the L&D and wider HR Function.
As the L&D Manager for Digital Learning you will:
•Oversee our Learning Management System (LMS) My Workday Learning, taking ownership of the customer learning experience, promotion and engagement of the learning offer and analysis of core learning offer effectiveness.
•Proactively deepen knowledge of My Workday Learning’s capabilities and collaborate with the HRIS team to identify opportunities to expand use of system functionality that improves the customer learning experience, and manage implementation roll out and engagement of new features.
•Turn insight into customer-centric proposals and offer a range of solutions relevant to our audiences which balance people and business needs.
•Identify digital learning trends and propose future opportunities that enable the Selfridges learning offer to deliver customer-centric learning solutions.
•Design and build eLearning products with SME stakeholders, translating their learning content into engaging digital experiences for team members.
•Upskill the wider L&D and training teams on utilising digital learning systems including digital learning design using Articulate products and any other digital learning platforms we use.
•Ensure the quality and consistency of Selfridges eLearning for team members and support with My Workday Learning testing activities.
•Collaborate on learning projects with a variety of SME stakeholders to shape learning strategies, develop content and engagement plans and deliver learning solutions.
•Partner with business areas and teams on specific learning requirements including but not limited to team activity design and facilitation and bespoke learning scoping and implementation. Support the wider team in the delivery of the core learning offer whether in person, virtual or through digital solutions.
The Ideal Candidate
•An experienced Learning & Development professional: An expert in your field, you’ll have a strong background in learning, understanding best practice and how it can achieve ROI as well as reinforce business goals. You will already be working with a Learning Management System (LMS) that you have managed and shaped. Knowledge of My Workday Learning would be beneficial.
•Design Focused: You are confident and experienced in digital learning design using Articulate. Knowledge and experience of other design platforms would also be beneficial. You have a close attention to detail and experience of working within brand guidelines.
•Customer-focused: You put your customers at the heart of everything you do, adapting changing needs and catering to a variety of audiences.
•Forward thinking: You take a forward-thinking, commercial and collaborative approach to projects. Having the ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational management, making sure projects are delivered effectively.
•Flexible: You’re able to manage multiple and varied learning projects simultaneously, proactively managing expectations and constantly adjusting priorities to business needs and comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.
•A great communicator: You will have have excellent communication skills, able to adapt your style to inspire and influence multiple stakeholders, across various functions, at levels up to Exec -1. You understand the need to build and maintain relationships across the business, proactively seeking and giving effective feedback and can positively challenge when needed.
•Creativity: You take a creative and innovative approach to problem solving and learning solution creation that inspires our customers and effectively meets our learning goals.
