Role Responsibility

As a Learning and Development Consultant, you will design and develop blended learning solutions for our Retail and Head Office teams at a variety of levels. You’ll build a thorough understanding of our skill gaps and create innovative blended learning solutions, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to design and deliver initiatives that are aligned to our company values and strategic plans.

As L&D Consultant you will:

ØInput to the planning of the L&D offer to ensure a blended range of development solutions which meet business needs 

ØDeliver specific L&D solutions and programmes to support business needs

ØDesign and develop digital and face to face learning solutions to meet audience needs, including owning the design, delivery, engagement and review of our core behavioural learning offer

ØMaximise and promote use of My Workday Learning (LMS) to offer meaningful solutions using data and insight appropriately

ØCollaborate with external partners and internal Business stakeholders to deliver high quality learning experiences which meet business needs 

ØSupport and guide those on development programmes and their line managers or sponsors to ensure a good success rate on meeting learning objectives and maximising performance

ØSupport the performance management and talent review process, to promote a learning culture and utilise relevant insight to drive decision making

ØCollaborate with the wider learning team on developing and delivering customer centric learning experiences and proactivity promoting the learning offer through measuring engagement and impact

ØManage costs effectively and ensure confidentiality is maintained in line with GDPR and compliance requirements

ØSupport the wider people agenda to drive Business priorities through taking part and collaborating in cross-functional initiatives including Sustainability, Wellbeing and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

ØEvaluate the success of learning initiatives, using data insight to inform and shape future learning proposals

The Ideal Candidate

ØExperienced in designing and delivering a range of Learning and Development solutions and have a good understanding of each element of the ‘training cycle’.

ØPlanned and organised in your approach to managing multiple projects and programmes to meet business and learner requirements

ØConfident in designing L&D both digital and face to face learning solutions (experience of Articulate Storyline & Rise would be beneficial)

ØAn experienced and engaging facilitator with large and small groups of delegates

ØAble to balance customer focused thinking with practical and effective solutions

ØCollaborative and engaging, able to positively influence others

ØAble to work effectively independently whilst also proactively collaborating across the team, seeking opportunities to work together to deliver great learning experiences for our team members

ØConfident in sharing and owning feedback across the team and with delegates where relevant 

ØSelf starting with a with a high level of resilience and attention to detail

ØAble to problem solve to create solutions that deliver customer outcomes

ØComfortable in giving, seeking and receiving feedback to support raising self-awareness, ways of working and personal development

ØProactive in seeking to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours of a learning professional, championing learning and role modelling this across the team and business.
