Role Responsibility

As our new Inventory Manager, you’ll own, develop and deliver all aspects of Selfridges’ inventory management objectives. As part of this, you will: 

  • To work as part of a collaborative management team, in driving positive and sustainable change throughout Selfridges to protect our People, Property and Profitability. 

  • To drive a culture of Stock Accuracy, Integrity and Availability for Loss Prevention across all Selfridge’s stores, Omni-Channel and supply chain locations. 

  • To optimise all resources, internally and externally to deliver the wider Loss Prevention strategy. 

  • To lead the Inventory team to passionately and effectively embed the Inventory strategy for Selfridges & Co, as a business-enabling support function. 

  • To lead a balanced and proportional approach to problem solving, with the Customer at the heart of what we do. 

  • Innovate and implement new controls that improve stock accuracy, stock control and risk in all areas, whilst returning on investments, such as Process Improvement, Policy and Procedure or scheduled inventory counting.  

The Ideal Candidate

  • An industry expert who is naturally pragmatic and solutions-lead, with a keen eye for detail. 

  • A naturally analytical, pragmatic and data-driven leader, who formulates balanced opinions and makes decisions based on data. 

  • Experienced in developing and embedding effective Inventory / Stock Audit programs. 

  • Experienced in developing effective inventory policy and procedure. 

  • Highly engaging with the ability to influence, and inspire change. 

  • A subject matter expert in Inventory Management, stock control techniques, processes, industry best practice and policy.
