Role Responsibility

You will be a fantastic ambassador for Selfridges introducing and welcoming elite customers to store, showcasing the very best of Selfridges. You will be a confident communicator and a great role model for our teams.

As the Client Development Manager you will be :​

  • Proactive in finding and introducing Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) footfall to store
  • Host UHNW clients in store introducing them to the best of Selfridges and connecting them with other team members where appropriate
  • Deliver exceptional service making everything seamless for our customers and ensuring they have an amazing experience in store
  • Deliver store tours for clients showcasing the best of Selfridges and informing them of our amazing heritage
  • Work with hotels introducing their best clients to store where possible and driving UHNW footfall to store
  • Build and develop a network of key partners from hotel concierge, UHNW travel companies, elite tour guides and other influencing partners who will drive HNW footfall to the store
  • Help enhance Selfridges proposition for elite customers in store
  • Support with duty management of Services on occasion
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and events on initiatives driving HNW footfall to store

The Ideal Candidate

  • Commercially minded. Understanding the principles of delivering sales and profitability
  • Collaborative. Building relationships is one of your strengths. Whether it’s with teams across the store, concession partners, or external partners such as hotels and other institutions
  • A retail expert. Accustomed to working in customer focused, fast paced/high volume environments, you bring both passion and knowledge to support your team. Generating ideas and implementing plans to develop business opportunities​
  • An excellent communicator. Your friendly and confident manner is appreciated by customers, team members and stakeholders alike ​
  • A leader. Motivating and inspiring teams to deliver exceptional service. You understand the importance of leading by example and provide coaching.
  • Adaptable and resilient. You demonstrate great flexibility especially in delivering seamless customer experiences for our customers
  • Proactive. Always take the initiative finding new opportunities and representing Selfridges exceptionally well at external events
