International Client Development Manager, Asia
Role Responsibility
You will be responsible for:
- Enhance customer journey for Chinese customers in Selfridges
- Driving Ultra High Net-worth Chinese and SE Asia clients into our four stores through a variety of routes to market
- Exploring and developing opportunities for engagement with the domestic and international Chinese customer base
- Developing and managing key relationships with 3rd parties such as payment providers, luxury travel providers, airlines, embassies, and concierge companies
- Creating and delivering targeted events for the High Net Worth Client base
- Further developing our tour group business which continues to grow year on year
- Providing Chinese insights and supporting our store(s) preparation for key International events.
The Ideal Candidate
In this newly created role, we are looking for a brand ambassador who has a strong understanding of the Chinese market, communication channels such as social media (Weibo, WeChat and more), influencers, PR, events and developing partnerships. You will be active in growing our China and Asia customer base both domestically in the UK and those visiting from abroad.

You will be given the support and autonomy to develop our client base utilising your knowledge of the Chinese market. You will be highly collaborative working with buyers, personal shopping, events and marketing to maximise the success of targeted events and marketing opportunities. You will use your initiative to explore new partnerships opportunities and nurture these relationships for commercial success.
The role is based in London but will cover all 4 of our retail stores including Birmingham and Manchester stores. There will be occasional travel involved to each of these stores and to China to enable you to drive this business area further.
