Role Responsibility

As the Head of the Corporate Gifting team, your role will be to establish and grow this new channel, designing and embedding how it will work as well as actively delivering the sales plan by developing your client base. ​

You will be responsible for driving the sales of this new channel now and in the future, achieving excellent customer service standards through team performance. Pro-active in driving and developing future business, and influencing decisions, you will identify opportunities and risks using external market trends and competitor insights.​

You will build and develop your team, sharing your knowledge and act as an ambassador, raising the profile of Food Gifting both within & outside Selfridges.​

As Head of Corporate Gifting you will:​

  • Develop a client engagement strategy, engaging other parts of the business   in particular with B&M, Personal Shopping and PR​

  • Drive all sales opportunities, planning effectively for key trading and calendar events, constantly seeking to improve productivity while managing all costs within budget and maximising stock availability​

  • Set up and optimise ways of working to deliver the strategy and coach your team to deliver these consistently​

  • Be the leader in proactively seeking out commercial opportunities – new customers, new routes to market and new partnerships – to then enable your team to take these through to sales​

  • Lead and inspire a skilled and high performing team through coaching and development, taking action when appropriate​

  • Work with Buying team to build a plan for Y2 & 3 to ensure we achieve the rapid growth forecast.​

  • Commercially astute. You are responsive to customer needs as well as market and competitor trends. Taking opportunities to improve performance by creating and owning a clear plan to deliver results ​

  • Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can give clear guidance​

  • A great communicator. Determined to grow our customer base and passionate about our products as well, this combination will mean you can engage with and influence multiple stakeholders in an inspiring way in order to drive change ​

  • Collaborative & inquisitive. Building both an internal and external network is absolutely key and will determine the success of this new team​

  • Well informed regarding competitors, trends and market insights ​

  • Approachable and a natural leader. Coaching team members to drive performance and enable change as well as supporting development ​
