Selfridges are looking for a Finance Analyst to support the London Finance team in providing effective financial challenge and support to their Business Partners.

This individual will support the end to end management accounts process, budgeting and forecasting processes, evaluate the profitability and performance of strategic investment decisions, directly support the store and restaurants team, and assist the wider finance team on various ad-hoc requests from the business.

Role Responsibility

As a Finance Analyst you are responsible for ensuring that clear, accurate, timely, and relevant financial information is delivered to their stakeholders to support robust planning, excellent cost control and commercial decision making. You will support the end to end month end management accounts process – ensuring accurate and timely information is provided to all stakeholders and providing relevant challenge where appropriate. You will also support the end to end budgeting and forecasting process – establishing and communicating budget timelines/milestones with stakeholders, working on budget presentation packs for executive audiences, and building detailed budget cost models.   There will also be the requirement to work flexibly, in supporting the business stakeholder with pieces of ad hoc analysis and financial modelling.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Part Qualified Accountant (preferably CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) or somebody progressing towards achieving one of these qualifications.  We are also looking for someone with previous experience working in a finance team, with 2+ years’ experience preferable.

This role is perfect if you are strong at building working relationships with peers across the business allowing them to develop a clear and accurate view of financial performance in their area. Along with this, you will have a good understanding of excel and a desire to continue to grow and develop yourself in a challenging but exciting commercial finance department. You will also have experience working with accounting systems and manipulating outputs for management reporting.
