Role Responsibility

As a Duty Security Operations Centre Manager, you will take the day to day lead of a SOC Analyst team that operates 24/7/365, on a shift basis, to protect our People, Property and Profitability. Supporting in the co-ordination of the day to day monitoring of all key systems (CCTV, Alarms, Travel, Media, Social Media, Building Management, Fire Safety) and their integration across all key locations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Take ownership for shift leadership for the SOC team, assigning duties to analysts and deputising for the Manager as required. As well as supporting in the recruitment and training of SOC personnel on appropriate rules and SOC procedures.
  • Coordinate the store security teams, with the monitoring and analysis of crime, supporting in the developments of plans and procedures to mitigate loss.
  • Partner with Loss Prevention and Crime & Investigates team to understand and investigate internal and external theft. Preparing police witness statements and evidence to support investigation or prosecution of offenders.
  • Coordinate the centralised incident reporting and escalation, responding effectively to incidents and escalations from a Physical & Technical incident management perspective
  • Collaborate with Loss Prevention & Security management on the development of SOC policy, procedures, standards and measurements, ensuring they are implemented correctly.

Support in the production of period reporting and analysis, as well as preparation of the SOC operations budget

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledgeable. Have a background in both the retail and security industry, you will have experience of SOC policies and procedures and an understanding of compliance with all associated statutory regulations and legislation.
  • Proficient with IT, Security and communications systems
  • Collaborative. Building relationships is one of your strengths. Whether it’s with the team to drive performance, your stakeholders to initiate positive change, or with the wider Selfridges community, you realise the importance of working together
  • A leader. You understand the importance of leading by example and provide coaching to drive performance and change
  • A great communicator. Able to manage multiple stakeholders, and engage people at every level of our business, influencing change where necessary.
  • Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can give clear guidance in times of crisis.
  • Can contribute as a leader to the SOC Management team to identify and implement areas for improvement across people, technology, and process

 

 

It is expected that the individual must have the following experience/ qualifications:

  • SIA licence and CCTV SIA Licence
  • Proficient with IT

 

This role guide represents a summary of the main areas of activity for the role, however all team members at Selfridges are expected to be flexible in the work they carry out, which may change from time to time, according to the needs of the business.
