Circular Coordinator
Role Responsibility
The Innovation and Sustainability Team own the strategy and delivery of our Materials, Models, Mindsets and Net Zero goals, which area fundamental element of our Customer Strategy in the long term. This particular part of the team has been set up to act as a start-up within Selfridges to define our future circular state and test and learn new exciting initiatives that will get us there.
You will be part of a wider team who is defining the broader Selfridges sustainability strategy, your remit will also include (but not be limited to):
- Exploring, setting up and managing enabling partners and CX solutions to scale up ‘Reselfridges’ circular models (Resale, Rental, Repair, Recycle, Refill)
- Discovering outer edge circularity solutions and ways to decouple growth from use of natural resources
- Building valuable learnings to inform the longer-term business plan and route to profitability
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be directly supporting the delivery of circular initiatives across our Reselfridges proposition
- Conduct market research for new, innovative partners and technologies, leveraging best practice to apply these to support the scale of Reselfridges
- Project manage new pilots / test and learn initiatives to explore new ways of working and grow transactions/sales, including tracking performance against success metrics
- Use customer insight and competitor and market analysis to help shape decision making
- Track, analyse and monitor key metrics for circular models (sales, transactions, traffic, conversion, customer acquisition/retention) in line with targets
- Support business case development and key outputs
- Collaborate and partner with wider Selfridges teams to implement and embed scalable, circular solutions across the organisation
- Put the customer (and internal user) at the heart of everything you do, prioritising effectively using data and insights to drive decisions
The Ideal Candidate
- You have been part of a team helping define strategy, project management through to delivery.
- Attuned to both the Selfridges brand, its competitors, and the wider retail landscape
- Passion for the circular fashion industry and knowledge of the competitor landscape, key innovations and challenges
- Data driven with experience of using data to encourage innovation and track benefits
- A great written and verbal communicator
- Customer focused with a background in delivering high quality, customer focussed services in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Evidence of creative and innovative thinking that can be translated into potential products capabilities
- Critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Reporting and analytical capabilities
- Project and stakeholder coordination capabilities
- Action and resulted orientated
- It would be advantageous but not essential if you had previous experience in planning and supporting the delivery of a Resale / Rental Platform, including experience leveraging technology capabilities that supported this
Preferred:
- Experience in fashion industry preferred but not required
- Involvement in reverse logistics and prior circular experience
