Role Responsibility

As a Change Lead, you will be accountable for the end-to-end change management lifecycle, from resource planning, to assessing change impacts, to planning business readiness, through to ensuring change is fully embedded within the relevant business areas, across various projects within our newly-formed Source and Supply domain. Previous experience in Merchandising and/or Supply Chain is essential, as you will focus on projects which transform the way we manage stock throughout our business, from sourcing through to inventory management within our stores and online. You will report to the Head of Change and lead a team comprising of change and training professionals, whilst partnering with leads of other key functions to successfully deliver in your role.

As Change Lead you will:

  • Develop project sizing and change/training resourcing assessments for new initiatives and ensure this is built into relevant upstream processes, for example budget approval
  • Create and maintain a portfolio-level view of change plans to provide senior stakeholders with visibility of the wider context, including how initiatives are connected, when initiatives will land and how they will impact on current ways of working
  • Establish and manage the total picture of people risks, dependencies, issues and capability requirements across the projects within your remit. For example: functional ‘overloading’, ‘capability gaps’, embracing new ways of working and driving new behaviours and culture
  • Work with individual projects and Internal Communications to build engagement plans, including utilising internal communications channels and setting up/chairing forums as appropriate to engage with senior business stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of the wider Change team through sharing knowledge and adding to best practice Change approach
  • Partner with business stakeholders, including Business Leads and our Product team, to ensure that change plans align to their strategic aims for transformation
  • Support Business Lead in coordinating a business resource plan, to ensure we have visibility of SME and other time commitments required from teams to enable us to plan ahead
  • Manage and lead your team giving regular feedback and coaching. Recognising both talent and development areas, you will create unique plans to progress your team using the tools available
  • Oversee the production of key change and training deliverables, including:

−Change Impact Assessments

−Stakeholder Maps

−Communication and Engagement Plans

−Change Plans

−Business Readiness Approach and Tracking

−Training Plans, Training Needs Analyses, Training materials

−Adoption Tracking and Business Transition Plans

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Collaborative, with a proven ability to build effective relationships and influence at all levels
  • Knowledgeable, with an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end change management lifecycle and previous expertise working with Merchandising, Supply Chain or other relevant functions
  • Customer-focused, putting your customers at the heart of everything you do
  • Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can break down complex problems and provide innovative solutions
  • A natural leader, coaching team members to drive performance & enable change as well as supporting development
  • Experienced. You have a minimum of 7 years working in a change management or project/programme-based role, with at least 2 years in a management position
