Change Analyst

Job Introduction

The Change Analyst is accountable for ensuring that the requirements for business change for each project/release are understood and developed, that stakeholder engagement is maximised and that actionable change plans are created.  A key part of this role is ensuring that change management is both factored into and co-ordinated across the project, whilst fitting in to the Single View of Stock change and communications framework.  This will include fully participating in the Project Discovery phase.  The Change Analyst will be an ambassador for change management and will provide hands-on help and coaching to the project teams to ensure they understand what change management is and why it is important.  This will help plan for not just the end state but also the transition states throughout the project.

Role Responsibility

  • Assisting the project team in the Discovery and Definition phases to ensure that the wider change impacts on the business are both planned for and understood
  • Develop change impact assessments and readiness to change assessments – this includes impacts on roles and gaps in capability
  • Stakeholder identification and mapping plus communications planning and delivery
  • Assist in assessing which types of change strategies/tactics might be best employed ensuring that they are fit for purpose and reflect the environment (understanding that Selfridges' primary concern is on delivering 'business as usual')
  • Identification of other change delivery methods (e.g. training) and engagement with  the HR team at the right time, ensuring they are able to plan in advance
  • Work with the Project Manager on the creation and maintenance of a change plan and risk monitoring log
  • Meet regularly with the Workstream Change Lead to ensure that the project change approach and plans are understood at a Workstream level and that the wider  change impact is understood, accurate and up to date
  • Ensure that change management 'lessons learned' from other workstreams/projects are taken account of in formulating the approach and plan for SVS projects -  feedback any lessons learned to the Workstream Change Manager
  • Support the Workstream Change Manager in the planning, development and delivery of change mobilisation and communication events
  • Support on the definition and articulation of business benefits, translating this through to ‘what’s in it’ for the business and individuals
  • Adoption tracking and support planning and delivery

The Ideal Candidate

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Experience of supporting a transformation programme in a change management capacity. 
  • A background of working within a customer orientated function and supporting transformation within this area
  • Proven experience in providing service to a variety of stakeholders from different organisational levels and functions to achieve successful project outcomes
  • In depth understanding of the pressures and goals of change projects and business functions
  • Retail commercial and operational knowledge
  • Microsoft office skills, to include PowerPoint and Visio
  • Experience of Oracle Retail products would be preferable
