Central Operations Lead

Role Responsibility

As the Central Operations Lead you will:​

- Lead the Central Operations team in seeking out improvement projects that drive operational efficiencies and improvements, leading to more effective teams which will result in more time to focus on customers and teams

- Bring a strategic mindset to projects, considering the wider context of business challenges and helping to frame this with senior leaders

- Be responsible for identifying areas of opportunity to aid store operations. Implementing guidelines and procedures in order to drive efficiency​

- Manage a team of two Central Operations Managers and guide them in  delivery of projects. From the formulation of new processes, communicating with relevant stakeholders, developing training content, and seeing through to implementation​

- Liaise with Channel Integration (CI). Providing support on CI process mapping, to validating and managing changes post implementation​

 - Consider all possible areas of impact from operational change, you will foresee challenges and provide opportunities to mitigate, from training to a clear comms plan​

- Collaborate with and influence functions where necessary, providing an overview of the changes and impact required.

- Agree and imbed training and communication. Owning and reviewing the process to ensure it is achieved. Adapting as needed to achieve optimal performance ​

The Ideal Candidate

How you’ll do it…you will be:​

- A strategic thinker, who’s able to simplify complex scenarios and understand the bigger picture of how business challenges interlink. And then able to build and deliver presentations to senior leaders as part of helping the business drive its strategic objectives

- Able to explain simply and clearly – able to present projects in a way anyone across the business can understand, to best enable change in the business and ensure the problems are fully understood by all for maximum improvements

- A strong leader. Passionate about coaching and developing your team

- Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You can see the risks and opportunities within processes and procedures, and are able to offer solutions​

- Collaborative. Working with key stakeholders to simplify ways of working, influencing where necessary to drive change​

- Great at influencing and negotiating, whilst building professional, lasting relationships at all levels. Adapting your approach depending on your message and audience​

- Analytical. You are able to read and interpret data, understanding the nuances between each store, and adapting as needed​

- Focused and self-motivated. You are will use your relationships across the business to seek out required improvements​

- A retail expert. You have a background in retail, both front and back of house. Using this knowledge to improve operational efficiencies​
