Job Introduction

Are you looking for a role in digital that gives you the chance to deliver an exceptional, omnichannel experience? Looking for a company that wants to help further your career in digital content, as well as provide you with an exciting, inspiring and fun place to work?

If the answer to all of these questions is ‘yes’ then you’re just the kind of person we’re looking for!

Role Responsibility

As our new AEM Content Editor, you will support and enable us to deliver an exceptional ominchannel experience through content, and support the Senior Digital Development & Content Manager in delivering the Selfridges campaigns.

As a Content Editor with previous Adobe Experience Manager experience, and prior experience building content pages and maintaining websites.

Focusing on supporting the Online Trading and Operations functions, you will ensure the website is maintained to the highest standard and always maintains its customer-centric approach. A keen eye for detail is a must, as you will be carrying out regular quality checks, making sure content follows e-commerce and SEO best practices. As part of this, you will:

  • Communicate across multiple departments within the business for all aspects of managing site content within AEM.
  • Take ownership of building weekly homepages, editorial pages and ad-hoc content within AEM for international website variations
  • Liaise with the Online Trading and Production teams to ensure all expected content is available within the allocated timescales. E.g. Missing links and featured products
  • Support the Editorial team with ad hoc content changes in AEM e.g. site information, restaurant and store pages
  • Be a key part of the sign off process for content before it goes live, and action any amends required from the wider business
  • Continuously optimise the client's ways of working to ensure business needs are delivered to meet goals
  • Provide best practice recommendations and monitor insights to spot trends and opportunities to optimise content

The Ideal Candidate

A strong knowledge of Content Management Systems is required, including AEM, and the ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, alongside the ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.

You will be a great team player, knowing how to support and guide others in order get the best out of people, using your sound leadership abilities. Clear communication is a key part of the role, and you will utilise this to build strong relationships across the business.

This job is a brilliant opportunity to support the content manager and support the Senior Digital Development & Content Manager in delivering the Selfridges campaigns.

Alongside working with the content manager, you will be working closely with the wider Customer team – Operations, UX, Trading, Marketing, Creative and Production, to name a few.

It doesn’t just stop at digital either - we have lots of opportunities to get involved and collaborate on projects and in communities internally, so no two days will ever be the same. As Harry Gordon Selfridge once said, ‘There’s no fun like work!’
